Start from Love!
Leadership Coach, Front of Room Leader and Systemic Change Guide
The purpose of this image is to symbolise love.

Whatever decision you have to make, whatever action you’re about to perform, what’s your starting point?

Here’s the thing. There’s only ever one of two starting points:

Love or Fear

Think about a situation you’re in right now, and ask yourself: Am I doing this with love or am I driven by fear?

  • As you embark on a new career path, are you pulled by your heart’s desire? Or are you pushed by the fear of losing something?
  • As you prepare that parting conversation with your employee, are you feeling compassion for yourself and for the person in front of you?
Or are you letting your mind spin circles of justifying, defensive thoughts?
  • As you try to convince others to change their ways of thinking and behaving, do you feel connected to or separated from them?

The quality of your intervention depends on your starting point. Make it Love.

Whether you are doing one thing or avoiding another, it is the quality of your inner place in the present moment that will ultimately determine your impact on those around you.

The only thing that can lead you to meaningful change, to successful interventions, and co-creative relationships are love and its companions:

Connection

Compassion

Calmness

Clarity

Confidence

Curiosity

Courage

Creativity

These are your innate qualities. They are at your disposal, always. You just need to access them.

Coaching to access your best qualities

And this is where coaching with IFS, or parts work, comes in. We’ve been honing our parts work coaching over the past six months. Throughout this time we have experienced its transformational impact first hand, both on ourselves and our clients. It is a simple process of peeling back the layers of fear that drive your thinking and behaviour. In the process you connect to the 8 qualities of an open heart.

If you want to cultivate more love and let go of fear, reach out.
